Freudenberg is a diversified family owned firm, with its operations handled by Seals and Vibration Control Technology, Nonwovens, Household Products, Chemical Specialities, Building Systems and IT Services Divisions. The Group in 2005 employs 33,385 people (per 31.12.2005) in 53 different countries, for a total turnover of around five billion euro.
The group’s nonwovens company Freudenberg Vliesstoffe KG is the world’s biggest producer of nonwovens. The portfolio includes interlinings for textiles, filter applications, hygiene and medical textiles, technical nonwovens and tuft for carpeting. The company is the world’s leading producer and vendor of micronAir interior filters for the automotive industry. It is headquartered in Weinheim an der Bergstrasse, Germany. Freudenberg Nonwovens employs a total of over 5,000 people in twelve countries, and operates 17 production facilities. The turnover in 2005 was 995 million euro.
