French automotive market: rising demand for air comfort and air design
Freudenberg Nonwovens to present micronAir filters at the "Equip'Auto" in Paris
Weinheim, 7 July 2005 - Freudenberg Nonwovens, Weinheim, will be presenting its micronAir car interior filters at the "Equip'Auto" trade fair in Paris this October for the French aftermarket. The market leader for OEM filters is thus responding to the French drivers' rising demand for health-aware driving comfort.
The French automotive market is an acknowledged pioneer in terms of environmental protection and air design: the PSA Group, for example, has not only been one of the first to introduce the diesel-soot engine filters - it has also fitted the new Citroën C4 with a perfume dispenser, which treats the car's occupants to exquisite fragrances during their trip.
The basic need for pure air and comfort means that more and more French drivers want to keep pollutants and unpleasant odours out of their cars entirely. That's why more and more of them are fitting their vehicles with automotive car interior filters: the micronAir filter is installed in the vehicle's ventilation or air-conditioning system, and thanks to its multi-layered structure arrests up to 99 per cent of all ultra-fine particles and pollens. The combi-filters, additionally containing activated carbon, provide extra protection against gases and ozone.
When choosing a filter, the French automakers attach great importance to quality, so as to ensure optimum comfort for the driver. As the market leader, Freudenberg Nonwovens equips two out of three new cars in Europe with its high-arrestance top-quality filters from the micronAir range. The filters are developed to meet the very specific requirements of the automotive industry, tested to DIN 74 160, and conform to Guideline 6032 of the Confederation of German Engineers (VDI). The aftermarket in France is now also profiting from this OEM quality and expertise. As a long-standing development partner for the automotive industry, Freudenberg Nonwovens provides the full range of its current product portfolio for the independent garages as well.
At the "Equip'Auto" the automotive component supplier will accordingly be presenting the micronAir range of filters for the first time in Paris this year: In Hall 6 on Stand A70, the trade visitors can find out more about over 600 micronAir applications for cars and all important applications for commercial vehicles.
The "Equip'Auto", one of the world's premier trade fairs for vehicle equipment, will be held from 13 to 18 October 2005 in the Parc d'Expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte. More than 2,000 exhibitors and approximately 140,000 visitors are expected, 30 per cent of them from abroad.
